Our challenging treks and volunteer projects take you to some of the world’s most extraordinary places: from the lost Inca city of Machu Picchu in Peru, to the peak of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. Our trips include incredible travel tours which give you the opportunity to see the sights of a lifetime: you could be marvelling at the ancient splendour of Angkor Wat in Cambodia, or exploring the majesty of the Taj Mahal in India.
Who are we?
Challenges Abroad Australia provides volunteer experiences and opportunities in worthy communities throughout the world. Sending people to seven countries on projects as varied as our participants, there should be something for everybody with us. Although quite new to Australia, we have been working in the UK for a number of years, meaning we have sent thousands of students and professionals all over the world on exciting volunteering opportunities or ‘gap years’. What makes Challenges Abroad special is that our trips are designed to bring meaning to traveling and give an experience beyond a traditional tourist excursion to make a real difference in the communities abroad who need it.
How we make a small change to the world we live in
Something we believe in is giving back, and we put our money where our mouth is when it comes to this. By working alongside the FutureSense Foundation’s charitable objectives, we run transparent programs with a charitable goal. We support worthy overseas causes to help change lives and hopefully make our world a bit of a better place to live in. Challenges Abroad provide the human power to our deserving projects, providing a highly effective solution to the problems we have chosen to focus on.
The Challenges Abroad Difference
Through our experiences sending people away we have learnt and grown as a company. We feel confident in handling pretty much any situation – we’ve seen a lot of things, and that which we haven’t, we can deal with! Our small, but expert team works with each volunteer individually and really gets to know them and what they want before the off. Our experiences are tailored to our participants and ensuring they get the most value out of each trip.
A final pillar of Challenges Abroad that we pride ourselves on is the way we provide legitimate and safe travel to our project destinations, supported by our hand-picked, dedicated coordinators in each of our locations. We do not cut corners in our travel opportunities, which means when someone pays for an experience, be it on a medical internship in India, climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, or one of our other great challenges, you know that you will be booking with experts in the field who are providing no hassle volunteer chances.
