See a different side of Northern Thailand through this very unique Challenge! Help teach media literacy to disadvantaged youth and give them the platform to express themselves while exploring all the beauty Thailand has to offer.
This is a unique placement that will give you the opportunity to develop your skills in media literacy whilst having an impact in a meaningful way. You will inspire a curious audience through teaching and facilitating creative and exciting media projects.
Thailand is fully absorbed in the digital age, with a large part of the population embracing the benefits of the last decade’s technological advancements. However the student’s and novice monks that we work with have missed this opportunity to connect and share their creativity and passions.
We have several professional curricula that the group can choose from or you can propose your own media topic to teach. Your goal for your time in Thailand is to support the students to produce a tangible piece of media. This could be a short video, photography display, advertisement, interviews, etc. You could even run a mini film festival to showcase the work the children have been able to produce with your help!
The positive effects of this unique and meaningful program will be immediately evident during your stay in Thailand; however, through the piece of media created while you are here, you will also leave a memory that will not be forgotten!

Volunteer at our partner schools and temples to give an invaluable creative experience to a diverse audience of ages and abilities. Work with your fellow volunteers to create tangible pieces of media that allow the recipients to learn new skills in film-making, photography and other media subjects. In order to make this program as engaging and exciting as possible, you will have the opportunity to teach in a variety of ways including in the classroom, out in the field, one on one with students, and group presentations or workshops. During your free time you can create your own independent work in a surrounding that will stimulate your creativity with its natural beauty and vibrant local culture.
