Exploring Cambodia's capital city, visiting the world heritage Angkor Wat temples, volunteering to help a community in need and kicking back with other school leavers in one of South-East Asia's most beautiful countries... Sounds like a pretty good way to celebrate finishing year 12 to us!
You'll spend your first few days in Phnom Penh, getting used to a new culture and learning about Cambodia's history, visiting sites like the Royal palace, S21 Museum, Killing Fields and impressive local markets.
Next, you'll head to Battambang for your volunteer project. Cambodia faces a range of social and economic issues and you'll be working with children in our partner schools on a range of fun activities to enhance their education and the school facilities. In the afternoons and evenings you'll get to explore the local shops, trek to the bat caves, ride on the bamboo train and visit local temples.
At the end of your trip you'll head to Siem Reap, our favourite city in Cambodia. Here you'll be able to get amazing spa treatments, explore the incredible night markets and most of all see sunrise at the world famous Angkor Wat temple complex!
This is the perfect opportunity to do something different, step out of your comfort zone and do something meaningful to celebrate finishing high-school! To learn more about our Schoolies program and other available destinations click here.
Cambodia has been such an incredible experience! I am forever grateful to have been part of a team who was able to support the Khmer locals and be part of a greater good. This trip has enabled me to become more grateful for everything.Dounya Abdullatif - Deakin University Student
