3 short weeks- a life changing experience. Within these three weeks I was pushed to my limits both physically and mentally. If you are going over, I definitely recommend MT KILIMANJARO! Those 6 days spent trekking are definitely in my top 20. Amazing people, AMAZING food and amazing scenery throughout Tanzania.
My Challenges Abroad trip was a truly amazing way to experience a different country and its culture, all while gaining the reward and satisfaction of making a positive impact to the local community. I had zero teaching experience and hadn’t left Australia before the trip but the team in Thailand could not have been more accommodating and made us feel at home instantly, accompanying us to classes to assist us with the teaching while we settled into it. The local children were so appreciative and happy to come to class every day, saying goodbye to them was by far the hardest part of the three weeks. This trip was such a unique adventure that I am sure I will never forget.
I enjoyed very much the time I spent at the clinic interviewing patients and then discussing the cases with the doctor. Whilst at time challenging, I learnt a lot and will remember it as a great experience. Additionally, I enjoyed spending time with the other volunteers and getting to know some of the local Cambodians with whom we shared many great times and memories.
This was the most amazing and rewarding experience of my life and I cant imagine any trip better…I could never regret the extraordinary experience I had with CAA and will treasure everything I learned from it.
Loved every second of the whole experience. I came for the experience and it sure enriched my life a lot more.
My experience in Battambang has forever opened my heart and mind. Teaching the local children was truly an enjoyable and rewarding time. I have learnt so much and made many wonderful friends! Volunteering in Cambodia has been inspirational and life changing!
