3 short weeks- a life changing experience. Within these three weeks I was pushed to my limits both physically and mentally. If you are going over, I definitely recommend MT KILIMANJARO! Those 6 days spent trekking are definitely in my top 20. Amazing people, AMAZING food and amazing scenery throughout Tanzania.
Was an absolutely fantastic experience, very eye opening, great for learning and challenging yourself. Also teaches you great communication skills. Would go again in a heart beat.
My Challenges Abroad trip was a truly amazing way to experience a different country and its culture, all while gaining the reward and satisfaction of making a positive impact to the local community. I had zero teaching experience and hadn’t left Australia before the trip but the team in Thailand could not have been more accommodating and made us feel at home instantly, accompanying us to classes to assist us with the teaching while we settled into it. The local children were so appreciative and happy to come to class every day, saying goodbye to them was by far the hardest part of the three weeks. This trip was such a unique adventure that I am sure I will never forget.
The challenge of traveling to Romania and working with children in care homes was the most amazing experience ever. I undertook this challenge as a volunteering holiday hoping to gain greater appreciation for my own lifestyle and get some r&r at the same time, Romania challenges abroad program did not disappoint! The program which involved volunteering in a care home allowed me with an opportunity to form strong connections with the kids as well as integrate into the small surrounding community.
This was a genuinely life changing, life enriching experience, not to be missed. I thoroughly recommend the trip for anyone interested in travelling and challenging themselves. CAA made the trip easy and stress free. I would absolutely do something similar with them again.
I enjoyed very much the time I spent at the clinic interviewing patients and then discussing the cases with the doctor. Whilst at time challenging, I learnt a lot and will remember it as a great experience. Additionally, I enjoyed spending time with the other volunteers and getting to know some of the local Cambodians with whom we shared many great times and memories.
