Over the past two weeks, I had the privilege of completing a virtual internship in Nepal, where my team and I focused on developing financial literacy for secondary school students in grades 8 to 10. It was exciting to put my undergraduate commerce studies into practice by designing lesson plans that were both engaging and informative.
Coming from a diverse cultural background, this experience reminded me that
"Culture can’t be learned in a day - true understanding requires patience, openness, and respect to ensure materials are relevant and meaningful"
For instance, I didn’t know that investment options in Nepal were completely different from what I’m used to!
The internship not only strengthened my ability to create practical educational resources for the first time but also deepened my passion for cross-cultural learning.
A huge thank you to CA and Future Sense for making this valuable experience possible!
